Situation: Organisation announced the closure of their Manufacturing Site impacting approx. 110 employees.
Support: 12 months ahead of the of the site closure Working Transitions held awareness sessions for employees outlining the support available. Support commenced with a mix of workshops and 1:1 meetings. Closer to the site closure date we provided support via job fairs, IT training and bespoke workshops for senior managers. Further 1:1 coaching sessions were also conducted.
Outcome Many employees secured alternative external roles in advance of their leave date and were able to move seamlessly into their new employment. Others were able to increase their skills or access training support which enabled them to find employment outside of the manufacturing sector. The organisation achieved its commercial objective during the extended period of closure as key staff remained until the end.
