Supporting Menopause in the Workplace - join us for a unique webinar

Join Working Transitions and Henpicked for a unique webinar - ‘Supporting Menopause in the workplace’

23 May 2018 at 10am

In the UK, around 1 in 3 employees is aged over 50 and around half of all workers are women. Menopause is a natural stage of life that affects millions of female workers - either now or in the future. Symptoms can have a tangible effect on how a woman does her work and her relationship with her colleagues.

To date, there has been little support in the workplace for women who are going through the menopause. However, it is an occupational health issue and a key life stage that impacts career transition and has the potential to de-rail career or organisational plans. Forward-thinking employers are recognising the importance and value of providing support and guidance across the workplace.

This live webinar is hosted by Working Transitions and Deborah Garlick. Deborah is the founder of the website Henpicked and author of the book ‘Menopause – the change for the better’. Henpicked have worked with over 100 organisations in the last 12 months to support menopause in the workplace. Interventions include the creation of policies and guidance documents, line manager training, events and awareness campaigns.

This webinar will focus on key questions that Organisations ask about Menopause in the workplace including:

  • What measures can you put in place to support menopause in the workplace?

  • What does the research say?

  • What does the law say?

  • What have other organisations done?

The webinar will also offer the opportunity for you to put your questions to Deborah.
