Background:  A large family owned organisation employed a brand new Human Resources Director, who was not only new to the industry but previously worked in a smaller field. The HR Director’s new role consisted of a large amount of travelling, which had an effect on his personal and professional life.

In addition, the company was taken over by new private equity owners causing a cultural change and impact on the new HR Directors role in steering the team.

Support: Working Transitions provided onboarding support to help the HR Director and his team evaluate their priorities and aims, as well as gain perspective during pressure situations. As a result of this support, he was able to adapt quickly to the increased demands of his new role, culture and work in a structured and progressive manner.

During the more challenging periods of his job role, with the help of his support coach, the HR Director was able to increase his self-awareness and confidence. Our specialist onboarding coaches enable us to fully support an employee progressing through an unknown transition and shows them practical ways to adapt to the situation quickly and efficiently.

Outcome:   The HR Director found the onboarding support so helpful in accelerating his productivity and increasing his confidence that he subsequently engaged Working Transitions to provide onboarding support for each new senior hire within the organisation.
